As a Loudon County native, since 1988, I have seen our area transform drastically over the last 35 yrs. Rural farm land has given way to subdivisions and shopping centers. The real estate market is booming in East Tennessee and it's no surprise why. If you have visited our area or researched it online, you probably understand that our area is truly one of the most beautiful places to live in the Southeastern US. Tennessee has no state income tax and the cost of living is relatively low. Property taxes are much lower than many areas as well. The Knoxville area is located about an hour to the Great Smokey Mountains and we are surrounded by beautiful lakes, greenways, bike trails and so many parks.
